Good news and sad news from Las Vegas

Gail Lucas-2
http://www.lvrj.com/drive/venetian-installs-charging-equipment-169744476.html

Stan Hanel's Review Journal column last week had information about charging
facilities at the Venetian and Palazzo casinos.  At the end he includes a
memoriam for Al Sawyer, an EV pioneer whose company, Lectra Motors, built
over 1,000 electric cars on Datsun gliders.  Al was a brilliant Electrical
Engineer who for years shared his knowledge with the Las Vegas EV community
and was a tremendous help to many of us struggling to build or maintain
electric vehicles.  We will never forget his patience, kindness and amazing
skills.

Gail

Gail and All,
Sorry to hear about Mr. Sawyer. I'm thinking I met him the year I met
you, back around 2000 and one. Found some videos about him:

Dave,

Thank you for the video links.  I had not seen them and am so pleased that
Al's work has been documented and will not be forgotten.

Gail

Thanks for posting. I learned some more EV history today. Too bad
there was a bad apple investor.
