SUNSET BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Work to install a charging station for electric vehicles could create some traffic delays this week in Sunset Beach.

The town says crews from Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation will install the station Wednesday. It’s going in on Sunset Blvd. near Sunset Properties, the town says.

During the installation, the north bound lane of Sunset Blvd. will be closed. The town says to plan for delays or choose alternate routes to get off the island.
