That’s good . I got 38 MPG going down 81 last week (70 MPH speed limit) in my Volt. So you are doing well!

FWIW the 2nd Gen Volts(2016 and later) get better MPG than 1st gen; 42 mpg in charge sustaining mode vs 37 and they do it using regular gas instead of premium. That plus almost 50% more range in EV mode.
Significantly different engine, different transmission and different E-motors.
