San Jose Gurdwara Sahib Installs Electric Vehicle Charging Station

(dual L2-6kW CT4000 EVSE shown)

SAN JOSE, California, USA—Taking a move towards going green, the San Jose Gurdwara management committee has installed electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.  SJ Gurdwara is first [U.S. Sikh temple] in North America to have EV charging outlets.

San Jose Gurdwara has taken previous initiatives to cut carbon emissions.  It is already operating entirely on solar energy.  Now, installation of EV charging stations is a major initiative to promote electric vehicles.

EV charging stations will be provided free of cost to community members and visitors.

A special event was organized by the management to launch the charging stations, in which San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo and Councilwoman Sylvia Arenas attended and appreciated efforts by the committee.
