Maybe this is one of the reasons that Aptera is only selling (taking
deposits) to CA residents. I also wonder if AZ, or what ever state it
is, is stuck in the past.
I suppose someone could create fold-away mirrors which fold into the
body when the vehicle goes fast enough ;)
The fact it folds up like that is very cool, but quite frankly that riding
position looks crazy .....
couldn't they have stuck just a little closer to what everybody recognizes
as a bike and still made it fold up ?

The Citroen 2CV had a two-pane window, hinged horizontally. You could fold down the top pane, or fold up the bottom pane. It was common to see drivers with their...

Almost all the stuff he says about the Fiat 500e I can say about the

They only made 14-16 of these.....the most famous one was driven by Yasmine Bleeth on the Nash Bridges TV show, the company folded. Was reborn as Xebra Motors...but never went anywhere...Don Johnson ("Nash Bridges, Miami Vice") I think owns the molds.....
Very pretty car...
I agree the fold-up is cool and clever, but an electric scooter can fold up and is just as portable and more stable and probably 10x cheaper.
As we all know, the battery weight is the issue for portability.

This has been done with very good results. PV is no match for wind. However

To: Lee Hart,
About a month ago I posted a message about acid spills grounding out my

... mobility scooter that folds. You remove the seat and
battery, push a couple of buttons, and fold the frame. When folded, it's
small enough to fit in an airliner's overhead compartment.
I don't know anything about the insurance issues. You'd have to take that up
with your insurance agent, I...
